The 2nd Beta Weekend Event has been announced and you can next get your hands on Guild Wars 2 on -
7pm (UK BST) Friday 8th June - 7am (UK BST) Monday 11th June
Whats more is your exisiting characters from Beta Weekend Event 1 will still be there! No wipes so some of the high rollers will get to play in the Ascalonian Catacombs on explorable mode!
I definitely enjoyed it. It really delivered on all aspects for me, albeit some stuff does need work.
The game even now has already showed me it has what it takes to be a big hit, and really captures that fun feeling for me.
When I first logged into SWTOR I thought "well.. this is cool but I hate this world already! [starter zone]" and that carried on through the entirety of leveling. When I did my first instance I said "hey this is good" then when I did it again I felt bored of it already. Not that this is an SWTOR comparison or bashing thread but I felt it noteworthy to say yes we did think SWTOR was cool and good in the beginning too, but I think most look at GW2 as no less than absolutely awesome.
Some great features so far for me:
Dynamic map system. Lots of goodies, waypoints, interaction and even drawing/pinging on the map.
World V World really delivers. It captures everything Dark Age of Camelot was and does it even better.
